Senior ACA / ACCA Accountant (Client Portfolio Lead)
London | Full Time or 4–5 Day Week | Hybrid (1–2 Days WFH)
£55,000 – £60,000 + Performance Bonus (OTE up to £65,000)
We are partnering with a highly respected and fast-growing firm of chartered accountants based in London. Established in 1979, the firm provides a full suite of accountancy, audit, tax, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of UK and international SME clients across sectors including technology, healthcare, prime property, renewable energy, and retail.
This is not a routine compliance role. We are seeking a high-calibre ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who is ready to step into a client-facing, portfolio leadership position with genuine influence, autonomy, and a clear pathway toward senior management.
You will work closely with senior leadership and partners, gaining exposure to strategic advisory work while developing into a trusted business adviser to your clients. The firm places strong emphasis on professional growth, commercial thinking, and long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
- Management of a client portfolio, acting as the main point of contact
- Delivery of high-quality client service and translating technical matters into clear, commercial advice
- Involvement / leading assignments including:
- Audit supervision
- Management accounts and reporting
- Cash flow forecasting and budgeting
- Business valuations and due diligence
- Handling client queries, technical research, and HMRC correspondence
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to their development
- Working with partners on business development and firm-wide initiatives
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified with approximately 3 + years post-qualification experience in practice
- Strong technical grounding across accounts, tax, audit, and advisory work
- Confident managing client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
- Commercially aware with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable taking ownership and working with autonomy
- Ambitious, with a desire to progress into senior leadership
