Property Inspector & Lettings Administrator – Part-Time
Are you looking for a flexible role that combines hands-on property visits with office-based lettings administration? Join a well-regarded independent agency where your organisational skills, confidence and eye for detail will genuinely make a difference.
Our client is an established and respected property business based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. They are looking for a diligent, confident and personable Property Inspector & Lettings Administrator to join their close-knit team on a part-time basis.
The Role
This role is primarily geared towards carrying out inspections and visits across the agency’s managed property portfolio. Working 2–3 days per week, you will manage your own inspection schedule, visit properties, prepare clear photographic reports and identify any maintenance or tenancy-related concerns.
Alongside the field-based work, you will provide office support with property management and general lettings administration. This is a varied position suited to someone who is organised, observant, confident dealing with people and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

- Communicating confidently and professionally with tenants when arranging and completing visits.
- Reporting findings to landlords and the property management team.
- Coordinating maintenance requests and liaising with contractors where required.
- Maintaining accurate digital and physical property records.
- Assisting with general lettings administration, including tenancy documents, referencing and compliance records.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure tasks are followed through and managed properties remain safe, compliant and well maintained.
What You’ll Need
- A confident and personable manner, with the ability to communicate professionally with tenants, landlords, contractors and colleagues.
- A strong team-player mentality and a willingness to support colleagues when required.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for property visits.
- Excellent organisation and diary-management skills.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to produce clear, accurate written reports.
- Confidence working independently and visiting occupied properties.
- Good general computer and administrative skills.
- A practical approach to identifying property maintenance and condition issues.
Being confident and able to work effectively as part of a close-knit team are essential requirements for this position.
Previous experience in lettings administration, property management, inspections or a similar property-related role would be a significant advantage. However, it is not essential, and candidates with the right attitude, confidence, transferable skills and willingness to learn will also be considered. Training and support will be provided.
