Our client is a distributor of adhesives, speciality chemicals, and adhesive dispensing equipment. Their extensive product portfolio includes epoxy adhesives, potting systems, conformal coatings, surface preparation products, and a wide range of materials and equipment to suit different applications.
The Role
They are currently recruiting for Customer Service Advisors across two positions: a part-time position working 3 days per week, and a temporary position for approximately 10 months.
The purpose of these roles is to support customers and the external sales team, ensuring customers receive good service and regular updates regarding their orders, pricing and availability. The roles will also involve building relationships with customers and internal departments and resolving issues to ensure customers receive a good all-round service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between customer and various departments
- Work closely with sales teams and other departments
- Provide pricing and delivery information
- Process orders and receive payment from customers
- Resolve customer requests, questions and complaints
- Deal with sample requests from customers and field sales teams
- Put on non-conformances and raise returns, credits/replacements
- Communicate with customers should there be delays or price increases
- Raise picking lists and invoice customers
- Deal with customer complaints, delivering resolutions and achieving customer satisfaction
Requirements
Essential
- Customer service experience with proven responsibility for ownership of part of a customer base
- PC literate with experience of using MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Good listening skills
- Excellent communication skills and a clear telephone manner
- Team player and willing to assist colleagues when required
- Ability to identify and solve problems and to multitask under deadlines
- Possess self-motivation, enthusiasm, a positive attitude and perform as a team player
- Possess good organisational skills and can prioritise effectively
Desirable
- Experience of Sage, CRM and web-based systems
