Production Operative | Full Time | Monday – Thursday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm | Friday: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm | Preston | £13.26 per hour
Our client is a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of industrial laminates, composite materials and machined components.
They are focused on delivering a quality product portfolio, supported by great service, excellent response and best of all, over 155 years’ experience of getting it right.
The Role
They’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join their manufacturing team, supporting the safe and efficient operation of their laminating, pressing, weighing and varnishing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Press:
- Operate presses
- Carry out trimming
- Provide press support operations, including material preparation such as cutting and steel management
- Operate and monitor ovens and control systems
- Use lifting equipment
- Carry out measurement and inspection activities
Weighing:
- Oversee, operate and action all requirements of the Weigh department
Varnishing:
- Mica Varnish
- Work within the Part Mark and Sanding work centres and carry out associated operational requirements
- Stock Control
- Measurement and Inspections
Secondary Role:
- Assist colleagues within the department when required
- Perform general housekeeping tasks
- Use the business system for production management via PC terminals
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

- Previous production experience is preferred, but not essential
