Are you the right person for the job?
You are a strategic, hands-on construction leader with 5+ years of experience overseeing complex field operations. You thrive in high-accountability environments and understand how to balance schedule, budget, safety, and quality without compromise.
You will have:
- Strong experience managing multiple projects and field teams
- Proven ability to lead subcontractors and maintain client relationships
- OSHA 30 (minimum requirement)
- First Aid/CPR certification
- CSL & HIC licenses (preferred)
- Working knowledge of building life safety codes
- Experience conducting safety audits and investigations
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and scope coverage
- Experience participating in buyouts and reviewing subcontracts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Outlook
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong knowledge of construction means & methods and plan reading
- You are organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
What will your role look like?
Field Operations Leadership
- Oversee all field operations across projects
- Supervise field staff and site superintendents
- Enforce safety and site standards
- Maintain project schedules and coordinate manpower and logistics
- Ensure subcontractors comply with scope and contract requirements
- Identify and resolve construction conflicts
Safety Leadership
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture across all projects
- Identify non-compliance issues in safety, health, and environmental standards
- Conduct safety stand-downs and safety meetings
- Lead accident/incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Monitor overall jobsite health and safety
Project Planning & Risk Management
- Ensure permits and required signage are in place
- Confirm project logistics and execution standards
- Participate in buyout processes and review purchase orders/subcontracts
- Identify potential budget concerns and implement contingency plans
- Assist the estimating team with general conditions, staffing, logistics, and site concerns
- Monitor inventory and purchasing of materials
Operational & Administrative Leadership
- Conduct weekly strategy meetings with ownership
- Streamline workflows and improve operational processes
- Coordinate with project executives, PM teams, contractors, and inspectors
- Review change orders and work orders
- Develop reports and conduct inspections
- Provide insight on project selection based on team strengths
- Mentor and develop staff to support company growth
