Our client, an established business based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, is looking for a Business Development Executive to join their team and drive growth through a blend of telemarketing, email outreach, and digital marketing activity.
The Role
This is a genuinely varied position that sits at the intersection of sales and marketing. You will be responsible for generating and nurturing leads through outbound calls and targeted email campaigns, while also contributing to the company's digital presence through content creation, basic SEO, and website updates. It suits someone who is equally comfortable having a conversation with a prospect as they are writing a blog post or analysing email open rates.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls to prospective customers, generate leads, and follow up on inbound enquiries
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects, identifying needs and presenting suitable solutions
- Create and manage personalised outreach emails, follow-up sequences, newsletters, and promotional campaigns
- Track and report on email performance metrics including open rates, click rates, and conversions
- Write and publish blog content to support SEO objectives and assist with keyword research and on-page optimisation
- Update website content and monitor digital performance, supporting social media content creation as required
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions within the CRM system
What You'll Need
Essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence speaking to customers and prospects
- Good organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- A working understanding of digital marketing concepts
Desirable
- Previous experience in a business development, sales, or telemarketing role
- Experience using CRM systems and email marketing tools such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or Shopify
- Basic knowledge of SEO and content marketing, including experience writing blog or website copy
