Advertise a job on Totaljobs

There are two ways to advertise a job on Totaljobs: buy a single posting from the board directly, or buy one flat-fee package from us — from £399 +VAT per vacancy — which puts the same vacancy across our whole board spread at once, written for you, live for 28 days, with no commission when you hire and the CVs coming straight to your own dashboard. One advert on one board is cheaper bought direct, and we say so below. Several boards, written for you, is cheaper here.

  • Totaljobs publishes an employer price on its recruiter landing page. We record that it is published and readable in a browser; the figure itself is theirs to quote, not ours.

    Read in a real browser at their recruiter page (it serves an empty document to a non-browser request, so it has to be rendered to be read). Checked 2026-09-10.

  • Their /recruiters/pricing path returns HTTP 404 — the price sits on the recruiter landing page, not a pricing page.

Which job boards does the £399 package actually cover?

The full spread is in the table on this page, taken from the same board file our own fulfilment reads — so it is what we deliver, not a marketing list. Every board named there is on Standard; CV-Library sits on the two Premium packages because our team posts it by hand.

How long does the advert stay live?

The package is a 28-day listing. Individual boards run to their own schedules inside that — some carry a posting for six weeks — and Premium and Premium Plus include a refresh at day 14, which pushes the advert back up the search results when the first wave of applications has passed.

Who writes the advert, and can I change it?

Either our content writers or you, in our ATS, which is free to use whether you buy anything or not. Nothing is published until you have read it and said yes, and you can change any of it before it goes out.

Where do the applications go?

Into your own employer dashboard, whichever board they came from, as they arrive. You own them. There is no commission when you hire and no fee that changes because of who you hired.

How quickly is it live after I approve the copy?

Measured across our own order ledger the median is 27.7 hours from payment to live, so most adverts are live the next working day after approval. That figure is ours, dated, and published on the how-advertising-works page rather than rounded down here.
