A qualified MOT tester who is also a competent general mechanic is a narrow trade. The garage is family-owned, has run for more than 30 years, and needed one person to test, service, diagnose and fit brakes and suspension largely unsupervised, with their own tools. Testers who want that mix rarely stay on the market long.
