The company specialises in new and used car sales across a variety of franchises, as well as genuine parts and accessories, vehicle servicing and repairs for vehicles, motorhomes and caravans. Due to continued business growth and success, they are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Service Manager to join their busy aftersales department.
The Role
As Service Manager, you will oversee a small team and help develop the customer experience journey across the site. You will work closely with the Aftersales Manager and wider aftersales team, managing various aspects of the Aftersales Department and liaising with Parts, Warranty and the flow of work through the workshop.
The main aim is to maximise the utilisation, productivity and efficiency KPIs of the Aftersales Department whilst maintaining high standards of customer care and working within specific targets and budget guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support a small team within the Aftersales Department
- Develop and manage the customer experience journey
- Work closely with the Aftersales Manager and wider aftersales team

- Hold positive, productive team meetings with staff and management
- Help improve business operations and department integration
- Continually improve department processes and profitability
Requirements
You should be able to demonstrate previous experience, preferably within a franchised dealership, along with an understanding of all aspects of an Aftersales Department.

- Proven experience in a busy franchised aftersales environment
- Strong understanding of all aspects of an Aftersales Department
- Good organisational skills
- Good numeracy, IT and literacy skills
- Excellent people skills
- Ability to manage the customer service experience for the site
- Confidence to hold positive, productive team meetings with staff and management
- A ‘can do better’ attitude towards improving processes and profitability
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Workshop Manager/Controller, Service Team Leader, Senior Service Advisor or Service Manager
- Previous experience within a franchised dealership
