Junior Property Lettings Negotiator | Southampton | Full Time | £26,500–£28,000 per annum
Our client is a family-run property business based in Southampton, founded in 2006, with roots through their parent group dating back to 1983.
They manage a diverse portfolio across Southern Hampshire — from studio apartments to three-bedroom houses — and welcome tenants from all backgrounds, including those on Universal Credit and housing benefits.
They are a growing business looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and customer-focused Junior Property Lettings Negotiator to join their successful lettings team.
The Role
As a Junior Property Lettings Negotiator, you will support the lettings process, build strong relationships with landlords and tenants, and help grow the lettings portfolio while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Register and qualify prospective tenants
- Arrange and conduct property viewings
- Negotiate tenancy agreements between landlords and tenants
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants and clients
- Generate new business opportunities and assist in growing the lettings portfolio
- Manage property enquiries via telephone, email and in person
- Ensure compliance with current lettings legislation and company procedures
- Assist with tenancy progression and administration where required
Requirements
Essential
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Professional appearance and a positive attitude
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Previous experience in lettings, estate agency, sales or customer service
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
- Good knowledge of the local property market
