HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic | Cwmbran, South Wales | Full Time | Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm | £42,000 - £52,000 OTE

The Role
Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their busy workshop team in Cwmbran.
You will work in a modern workshop environment alongside an experienced engineering team, carrying out maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on a range of commercial vehicles and specialist equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Carrying out vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnostics and fault-finding
- Completing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs
- MOT preparation and compliance work
- Working on specialist vehicles including Mercedes-Benz Unimog products
- Completing job cards and service documentation accurately
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
- Supporting workshop efficiency and quality objectives
Requirements
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in HGV, Commercial Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- Previous experience working on HGVs, commercial vehicles or heavy equipment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Positive attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
Desirable
- Full UK driving licence
- IRTEC qualification
- LOLER qualification
- Additional industry qualifications
