Working Hours
Monday to Friday
7:00am – 5:00pm
No shift patterns. No rotating hours.
The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the company fleet, ensuring all vehicles remain safe, compliant and operating efficiently.
Duties will include:
- Servicing and routine maintenance of HGV vehicles
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Carrying out PMI inspections
- Brake testing and diagnostic work
- MOT preparation and repair work
- Ensuring vehicles meet DVSA standards
- Completing maintenance records and workshop paperwork
- Working independently and as part of a professional workshop team
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience carrying out inspections, servicing and repairs
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards
- Own tools required (specialist workshop equipment provided)
- Positive and reliable attitude
Desirable
- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent
- Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Experience within fleet, commercial vehicle or plant environments
