Class 2 HIAB Driver | Reading, RG7 4NU | Full Time | £18.00 per hour

The Role
As a Class 2 HIAB Driver, you will be responsible for completing deliveries and collections safely and efficiently, providing a professional service to customers and supporting the wider depot team when required. The role requires a valid HIAB licence with hook attachment, along with experience in safe loading and securing of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled deliveries and collections, following customer and site-specific instructions
- Provide a professional and reliable service when representing the company at customer sites
- Operate the HIAB safely, including the hook attachment, in line with relevant procedures
- Ensure activities at the depot and customer sites comply with health and safety requirements
- Complete all required delivery and driver documentation accurately, including tachograph records
- Report any delivery issues, discrepancies or other concerns promptly
- Assist with yard duties, including loading, unloading, stock organisation and general depot support when required
- Work collaboratively with the depot team to maintain smooth daily operations and a safe, tidy working environment
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements
- Keep the vehicle clean, organised and compliant with company and legal requirements
- Ensure loads are secured safely using appropriate techniques, including ratchet straps
Requirements
Essential
- Valid Class 2 HGV licence
- Proven Class 2 driving experience
- Valid HIAB licence with hook attachment
- Experience operating a HIAB safely
- Experience using ratchet straps and securing loads
- Good understanding of relevant transport and health and safety regulations
- Ability to complete driver and delivery documentation accurately
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to reliably commute to Reading, Berkshire, or relocate before starting
Desirable
- Previous experience delivering to customer sites
- Experience working within a depot, yard or logistics environment
