Audio-Visual Installer / Technician | Cork | Full Time | €30,000–€45,000 per annum

Our client is a growing AV integration company based in Cork, delivering professional Audio Visual and related technology solutions across a wide range of customer sites. Their projects include corporate meeting rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, education facilities, commercial premises, presentation spaces and larger integrated AV systems.
They are seeking an Audio-Visual Installer / Technician to join their technical team in Cork. This is a hands-on role involving the end-to-end installation, configuration and troubleshooting of professional audio-visual and related technology systems across various customer sites.
The Role
The role will primarily focus on AV installation, including Audio Visual systems, video conferencing using platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom, large-format LED walls and interactive digital signage, CCTV and camera systems, IT and networking, and telecoms and mobile phone systems.
You will work both independently and as part of a team, depending on the requirements of each project.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing professional Audio Visual systems
- Installing and mounting commercial displays, projectors, cameras, speakers and associated equipment
- Mounting large-format LED walls and interactive digital signage
- Installing and terminating AV, network and control cabling
- Completing physical data cabling and hardware terminations
- Installing video conferencing and Microsoft Teams Room systems
- Configuring video conferencing rooms for platforms such as Teams and Zoom
- Installing CCTV and camera systems, which account for approximately 20% of the work
- Installing, cabling and calibrating IP camera hardware and Network Video Recorders (NVRs)
- Working with LED and digital signage systems
- Configuring IT networking components, including IP addresses, subnets, switches and routers
- Carrying out IT, networking, telecoms and mobile phone-related work
- Maintaining system connectivity and supporting overall system uptime
- Configuring, testing and commissioning installed systems
- Carrying out on-site fault diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Troubleshooting AV signal flow using a logical approach
- Reading and working from technical drawings, schematics and installation documentation
- Liaising professionally with customers, contractors and other trades on site
- Running system handovers and briefing end users
- Completing installations to a high standard and maintaining a clean and professional working environment
Requirements
Previous professional AV experience would be an advantage, but candidates from related technical backgrounds will also be considered.

Essential
- Some relevant technical experience
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Good AV and IT knowledge
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals and standard data cabling termination
- Strong spatial awareness for safely mounting hardware
- Logical approach to technical troubleshooting
- Fluent English
- Full clean driving licence
- Must live in Cork
