Healthcare Assistant Wexford
Our client is recruiting qualified Healthcare Assistants for full-time and part-time opportunities within elderly care services and healthcare facilities in Wexford.
You will support patients and service users with personal care and daily activities while working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The role requires a professional, compassionate and person-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Support patient dignity, privacy, independence and wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with nurses and healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans, health & safety and infection prevention procedures
- Assist with meals in line with HACCP requirements
- Support the safe movement of patients, equipment and supplies
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Complete mandatory training as required
Requirements
- QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support (all 8 modules) or equivalent recognised qualification
- Minimum 150 hours' relevant healthcare/care experience
- Current Manual Handling, Health & Safety, Food Safety/HACCP and CPI/PMAV training, where applicable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays
- Required Garda vetting/background checks
- International Police Clearance may be required where applicable

- €18.01–€50.79 per hour, depending on assignment, shift and experience
