Working Hours / Shifts

This role follows a structured daily care rota:

  • Morning shift: 7:00am – 10:30am (Breakfast rounds)
  • Midday shift: 12:00pm – 3:00pm (Lunch rounds)
  • Evening shift: 4:00pm – 8:00pm (Tea / evening calls)

Breaks are scheduled between rounds, allowing time to rest between visits.

What will your role look like?

As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you’ll support individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life. Support ranges from short visits to longer calls, including extended or live-in care.

Key responsibilities:

  • Personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, continence care, and eating and drinking
  • Administering medication and maintaining accurate care records
  • Preparing meals and supporting at mealtimes
  • Monitoring well-being and responding appropriately in emergencies
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Assisting with household tasks, shopping, appointments, and social outings
