Bookkeeper / Client Support Executive
Location: Morningside, Edinburgh
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm - Hybrid Working Available
Salary: £26,000–£30,000 DOE

The Opportunity
In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll work closely with a portfolio of clients, providing high-quality bookkeeping support alongside excellent customer service. You’ll be a key part of the team, helping clients stay organised, compliant, and confident in their finances.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing bookkeeping duties for a portfolio of clients
- Processing payroll, VAT, and CIS submissions
- Preparing VAT returns and self-assessments
- Supporting with accounts preparation when required
- Managing accounts payable and invoice processing
- Responding to client queries and providing ongoing support
- Advising clients on cloud-based accounting software including Xero
- Assisting with software implementation and client training
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to improve internal processes
- Managing workloads effectively to meet deadlines
- Keeping up to date with accounting software and industry best practice
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping and customer support
- Strong working knowledge of VAT, payroll, and self-assessment
- Excellent experience using Xero
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, positive, and client-focused attitude
Desirable
- Experience with QuickBooks or FreeAgent
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice
- AAT qualified or part-qualified
- Qualified accountant status
- Experience within Business Services or Advisory
