Accountancy Practice Administrator | North London (N12) | Part Time (3–5 days / 24 hours per week) | £20,000 per annum
Our client was established in 1972 as an accountancy practice providing a personalised and tailored service to businesses. It is an established, owner-managed firm with no external shareholders or investors, offering a stable and supportive working environment.
They are seeking a confident, organised, and highly reliable Accountancy Practice Administrator to join their friendly team. The role plays a key part in supporting the management team and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, acting as the main point of contact for clients and assisting with a wide range of administrative and compliance tasks.
The Role
You will play an essential role in supporting both clients and the internal team, helping to maintain efficient workflows and high standards of client service across the practice.
Key responsibilities:
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients (in person, by phone, and email)
- Managing client onboarding, including AML checks and compliance processes
- Preparing and maintaining client records, documentation, and contracts
- Assisting with HMRC correspondence, including PAYE and VAT registrations
- Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and supporting workflow across the team
- Handling ad-hoc administrative requests
- Assisting with Companies House secretarial duties
- Supporting administration of health & safety, fire safety, and related compliance
- Assisting with credit control and internal record-keeping where required
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience in banking or estate agency (or similar fast-paced, client-facing environment)
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Friendly, approachable, and a strong team player
Desirable
- Previous experience in an accounts or office administration role
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles
- Familiarity with accounting practice processes (AML, HMRC, Companies House)
