Job Description: Security and Customer Services Officer
Location: Burton Waters Marina, Lincoln (LN1 2WN)
Salary: £13.21 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4-on / 4-off (Rotating days and nights)
Hours: 12-hour shifts (05:30–17:30 / 17:30–05:30); Minimum 42 hours per week

The Role
Burton Waters Management is seeking a professional, enthusiastic, and versatile Security and Customer Services Officer to join our friendly team. Situated in a beautiful waterside setting on the outskirts of Lincoln, this role combines traditional security with high-level customer service. As the face of the estate, you will ensure the safety of our residents and visitors while maintaining the professional standards of our environment.

Key Responsibilities
Security & Safety
• Surveillance: Monitor and operate CCTV, gates, barriers, and intercom systems.
• Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the estate by foot and company patrol vehicle.
• Incident Response: Respond to and report any security or safety incidents promptly and accurately.
• Health & Safety Checks: Perform routine checks on critical equipment, including defibrillators (AEDs) and fire alarm systems, ensuring all are in working order and correctly logged.
• Key-Holding: Assist with key-holding duties and maintain secure access control.
Customer Service & Administration
• Front-of-House: Provide a warm, professional welcome to residents, visitors, and guests.
• Administrative Tasks: Handle basic duties including managing emails, answering phone calls, and processing payments.
• Communication: Coordinate effectively with team members, management, and suppliers, providing clear and detailed handovers between shifts.
General
• Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
• Ad-hoc Support: Carry out any other duties as requested by the Management Company to ensure the smooth operation of the estate.

Requirements
• SIA Licence: A current, valid SIA Licence is essential.
• Driving Licence: A full, clean manual UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Experience: Previous experience in security or a customer-facing administrative role is highly preferred.
• Skills: Strong computer literacy, excellent English communication skills, and a positive "can-do" attitude.
• Flexibility: Must be comfortable with lone working and committed to a 365-day operational rota (including weekends and bank holidays).
