POSITION: SMT TECHNICIAN
SALARY: £18K – £23K P/A (PLUS SHIFT ALLOWANCE)
LOCATION: HOOK, RG27 9HX
HOURS: Mon – Fri
4pm – 12am (Shift 2) + 20% Shift Allowance
12am – 8am (Shift 3) + 30% Shift Allowance

Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit experienced SMT Technicians for various shifts (as above) Please indicate your shift preference with your application.

As an SMT Technician you will be responsible for overseeing the SMT production lines and carrying out Surface Mount Technology (SMT) activities to quality and industry standards.
The role will involve using written work instructions and items lists to assemble products to customer specifications and IPC-J-STD-001 Class 3 as directed. You will be liaising with SMT Engineer / Supervisor regarding day to day activities of SMT lines and operating SMT machinery and carrying out machine maintenance as and when required.
You will also be setting up all necessary equipment and carrying out necessary checks, programming SMT machinery as and when required and checking production documentation
You will need to have experience of working in an electronics manufacturing environment, be computer literate with some experience of computer programming and have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
IPC experience desirable.
