Apprentice – Surface Mount Operator
Please Note: The role is apprenticeship level and will include enrolment at a local college, when the course is available. Full on-site training is also offered.
Salary: £18,000 P/A; with discretionary company bonus scheme.
Hours: Full time, Permanent, Apprentice; enrolment in local college included.
Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex
Apprenticeship Length: 2-Year college course with a view to a career at Wildtrax.
GB Electronics (UK) Ltd (GBE) is a dedicated electronics design company that provides electronic product and prototype design, firmware development, final product assembly, programming and testing. GBE’s key electronics design competencies are in embedded systems and firmware designs, project management and sub-contracted manufacturing services.
Due to continued success within their Electronic Manufacturing Services Company, Wildtrax Electronics, they are now looking to recruit for Apprentices to work as Surface Mount Operators within their Surface Mount Assembly Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, diverse company with a view to learning a skill to base a career on.
This position would be ideal for a recent School/College leaver with an inquisitive nature and a keen interest in electronics or computers.
This opportunity is to join a dynamic production team to work on a diverse range of electronic manufacturing engineering projects. Including learning to run an automated surface mount assembly machine, final PCB inspection and re-work.
The Ideal Candidate:
It is essential that the successful candidate has excellent attention to detail, is able to work to a deadline and is confident working as part of a team with the ability to follow instructions carefully and precisely.
